  • Snorkeling
    Beginner snorklers? No problem.  Start off at Kahalu’u Beach Park.  This beach is shallow and has several lifeguards.  Even beginners will be delighted to swim with sea turtles and other fish that this beach offers.

  • Swim with the dolphins, sea turtles, and other marine life at Honaunau Bay-Make sure to arrive early in the morning to see this delightful treat!

  • Take a kayak across Kealakekua Bay then snorkel in front of Captain Cook’s monument.

  • Beaches
    For a beautiful, sandy beach, try Hapuna Beach State Park
    'Anaeho’omalu Bay is great for basking in the sun.

  • Shopping
    Feel the urge to shop? Stop by the King’s Shops at the Waikoloa Beach Resort.

  • Dining
    Try the Kona Inn for an upscale dining experience.
    For some laid back cuisine, try the Kona Brewing Company.
    For some late night drinks and entertainment stop by Huggo’s on the Rocks or Jake’s, both located in downtown Kona.

  • Activities & Sightseeing
    Don’t miss Captain Bean’s Dinner Cruise.  Enjoy a Polynesian infused show while dining on teriyaki chicken and beef.    Make reservations early.

    Go for a bike ride with the Kona Coast Cycling Tours. Visit them online at www.cyclekona.com.  Their knowledgeable guides will educate you on the island and provide you with the equipment you need for your ride, including bikes.

    Feeling adventuresome? Try an ATV ride at the Parker Ranch.  Their knowledgeable staff  will help you get acquainted with the ATV, then give you a tour of their sprawling ranch.  Make sure to bring a sweater as it tends to get rainy as you drive up to Waimea.  Make sure to make reservations.  www.parkerranch.com

    See the beautiful Akaka Falls State Park for some beautiful waterfalls and scenery.

    Tour the grounds at the Place of Refuge, Pu’uhonua O Honaunau, where ancient lawbreakers were purified and ancient Hawaiians sought political asylum.
